"I was convinced that books had to have foreigners in them" This quote reminds me of how important it is to represent different cultures in in literature and other cultural things. It's sad to hear that some kids aren't seeing their ethnicities or race representing in things.
"The single story creates stereotypes, they make one story become the only story" Going hand in hand with the other quote, stereotypes are definitely a major reason people discriminate and prejudge people. I think everyones views are made up of a ton of single stories and its probably inevitable to not have all of these single stories.
