Flat Design has become more popular among app designers. It's the minimalist approach to design where borders, shadows, variants, 3d elements, etc are removed to give an app a more simple and clean look. The app I chose to show is the Gmail app. It's sidebar is easy to use and the colors are simple, just red and white for the background and black for the font. The app is really simple and straightforward to use, its allows you to easily check your inbox and reply back to any emails.
